Audrey Truschke is a professor of South Asian studies at Rutgers University, who has glorified Aurangzeb and other Islamic invaders who have mercilessly massacred Hindus and destroyed and looted their places of worship. She has also made a career out of denigrating Hindus and Hinduism.
COHNA, a grassroots organization representing the Hindus of North America, has compiled a list of some of her most outrageous rants against Hindus and their sacred symbols of faith. Here are a few examples of her iconoclastic and deeply offensive statements:
- Accused Bhagavadgītā of rationalizing “mass slaughter.”
- Referred to Rama, one of the most revered Hindu deities, as a “misogynistic pig.”
- Compared the Nirbhaya gang rape case in India with the position of Draupadi in the Mahābhārata and concluded that Hinduism endorses “rape culture” and misogyny. (The reality is that, according to an international survey, the per capita rate of rapes in Sweden and the USA are several times that of India)
Her frequent Twitter rants and verbal attacks on Hindu students have become a significant threat to the safety and freedom of speech of Hindu students at Rutgers and elsewhere. Recently, Truschke bullied a freshman Hindu student, Rama Sardar, at Indiana University into resigning from her university’s newspaper simply because she had the audacity to write an article that Truschke did not relish.
