भारत में जातीय जनगणना की राजनीति: हिन्दू-विरोधी अंग्रेजी षड्यंत्र की परिणति
Manoj Jwala · 10/03/2025 - ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक शासन ने हिन्दू समाज को कमजोर करने के लिए जातिगत जनगणना की एक रणनीतिक प्रणाली बनाई, जिसमें ‘जाति‘ को नस्ल, नाक की बनावट और खानपान जैसी बातों से जोड़कर कृत्रिम वर्गीकरण किया गया।
- वेदों और प्राचीन भारतीय ग्रंथों में वर्ण व्यवस्था कर्म आधारित थी, न कि नस्ल आधारित; परंतु पश्चिमी भाषाविदों और मिशनरियों ने इसे जानबूझकर नस्लीय भेद के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया।
- फ्रेडरिक मैक्समूलर और हर्बर्ट रिस्ले जैसे विद्वानों ने वेदों की तोड़-मरोड़ कर व्याख्या की और ‘आर्य-द्रविड़’ सिद्धांत जैसे झूठे आख्यान गढ़े, जिससे भारत की सामाजिक संरचना को खंडित किया गया।
- ब्राह्मणों को धर्मांतरण में बाधक मानते हुए मिशनरियों ने उन्हें टार्गेट किया और जनगणना के माध्यम से हिन्दू समाज में अंदरूनी विभाजन को बढ़ावा दिया।
- आज की जातिगत जनगणना प्रणाली उसी औपनिवेशिक नस्लवाद पर आधारित है; जब तक उसे नकारा नहीं जाता, तब तक भारत की सामाजिक एकता और ऐतिहासिक स्मृति पूरी तरह स्वतंत्र नहीं हो सकती।
